About Us

In 1983, Robert M. Gray and Mario J. Digregorio founded "Sabatia Environmental Planning", later incorporated into Sabatia, Inc. in 1986. The name "Sabatia" is a reference to Mario's favorite local wildflower the Plymouth Gentian (Sabatia kennedyana) and homage to famed Italian botanist Liberato Sabbati. In 1994, Robert "Bob" Gray became the first Certified Professional Wetland Scientist on Cape Cod. Mario Digregorio achieved his certification the following year in 1995.

In 1999, Mario left Sabatia, Inc. to pursue other professional endeavors while Bob continued running the company and teaching science in the Bourne Public School system. In 2006, Bob retired from teaching and ran Sabatia, Inc. full time until its sale to Corey Bracken in July of 2022.

During the transition, Bob and Corey had the opportunity to work together for the following year and a half. Corey is committed to providing the high level of care that current clients have come to expect and strives to uphold the high professional standard established over decades of service.
